Search in subfolders does not reliably work

After creating a file and putting it two levels into a hierarchy (folder/folder/file)
Obsidian search has a problem with finding it

Please fill out more repro steps so we can fix it.

At least specify what search are you using (global search? quick switcher?), and what are you searching (file name? keyword?).

This “Folding” file is two levels deep so from your description I can’t repro it.

Thanks for reply.

  • When I posted that, the same file could be found by a search when in the root, root/folder1, but not in the root/folder1/folder2;
  • I checked that by moving the file manually between these folders and checking search results (waiting 30s)
  • Since then the Obsidian app was closed/computer restarted
  • Now I cannot reproduce this behaviour with the same file
  • So this issue may be closed/on hang until someone else could reproduce that or give more details
