Search hotkey not working on non-standard keyboard layout

Steps to reproduce

Press CMD-SHIFT-F.

Expected result

The search feature should pop up.

Actual result

Nothing happens.

Environment

• Operating system: MacOS Monterey 12.0.1 (21A559)

• Obsidian version: 0.12.19

Additional information

I am using a french dvorak-like keyboard layout named “BÉPO”. Most other shortcuts work in Obsidian, but the one mentioned above doesn’t. The shortcut works when switching to a standard keyboard layout.

International keyboard layout hotkeys not working

Hi. The hotkeys were working perfect untill 0.10.1. I have upgraded to insider build 0.10.3 and now when, I press CTRL+W nothing happens. I have to press CTRL+Z to close a pane. I am on Azerty Belgian keyboard (almost like the French keyboard) and I have to use the querty keys. Of course I can set the hotkeys switched in the settings pannel and keep the original key but it also shows the wrong key in the setting pannel. Remapping to e.g. CONTROL-CMD-F works.

what happens if you remap it to cmd-shift-f?

I don’t think we are gonna do anything specific about this because it took a long time to find a setup that works for most people. I don’t know what’s so special about cmd-shift-f and bepo.

Doesn’t work again. Actually when I press cmd-shift-f it just doesn’t remap, it’s like I’m not even pressing any key. Restoring the default leads to the shortcut not working again.
