Scrolling with arrow keys doesn’t work correctly in PDF after changing focus through “Focus on pane”

Steps to reproduce

I’ve encountered exactly the same behavior as described in a previous resolved bug report, but only when the targeted pane is a PDF file. The previous bug report is called “Scrolling with arrow keys doesn’t work correctly after changing focus through ‘Focus on pane’” (I can’t seem to include links here).

  • Open a text file in one pane
  • Open a pdf file in another
  • Switch from the text file to the pdf file using “Focus on tab group”

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes, this bug occurs in a new empty vault.

Expected result

I expect to scroll the pdf file with the arrow keys after focusing it.

Actual result

Instead the arrow keys scroll neither the text file nor the pdf file.

Additional information

Notably, this scrolls the PDF if you first click on the tab title of the PDF, then use “focus on tab group” to switch to the text file (where you can scroll with the arrow keys) and then switch back with “focus on tab group”.

Also, if you click on the tab title of the text file and then switch to the PDF using “focus on tab group”, you can still scroll the text files with the arrow keys after switching.

I can’t reproduce in v1.9.

If you still have this problem when you get it (NO ETAs).
Download and reinstall Obsidian. Post a new bug report and attach a link to a screen recording when this happens in the sandbox vault. Thanks.
