Not sure if this is an obsidian or Templater problem. The problem is not present in Obsidian 1.8.10 and appears after updating. I’ve been downgrading from 1.10.5 one by one until this version (1.8.10), in which the glitch is not happening. I’m aware that this may or may not be an Obsidian problem, only reporting in the case you see something on your side, as it works fine in one obsidian version and not in the next. I’m reporting also to SilentVoid13
Steps to reproduce
- Default theme
- Windows. Also reproduced in the most recent Android version.
- All community plug-ins disabled (except Templater).
With Templater active (and Obsidian version newer than 1.8.10), when you insert a template that contains tp.file.cursor in a blank note (or one with content), you can see the cursor going up and down and moving the page focus. If the note has multiple pages, the problem is more noticeable.
I’ve recorded a video with the last version (1.10.5) with the problem and another one with 1.8.10 in which this is not happening (attached videos.zip below). I’ve enabled Ninja Cursor plug-in for the problem to be more noticeable in the recording, but doing it with Templater as the only active plugin also produces the problem.
The exact Templater script is pretty simple:

No, as the problem only appears when using Templater, but I’ve disabled every other plugin, no snippets and using default theme.
When using 1.8.10, even with all plugins I use installed, the problem is not there. It happens after this version, regardless of if my plugins are enabled or not.
Expected result
It is expected to behave in any recent version in the same way than in 1.8.10
