Score Card Review - update interval

What I’m trying to do

I updated my community theme but the score card review didn’t update.
This may mislead users judgement.

Things I have tried

After UPloading a new version of my community theme, the AI review didn’t update in 10 hours+, so far.

The community needs to know if a product is up to date and maintained.
At a glance, a AI review is a great idea to help both developers and users, but it loses value if the service and its defining quality standard parameters don’t update and become outdated.

The score card review is, as of now, a over simplification and may mislead users to skip downloading extensions, let me expand why:

  • Some declarations or selectors are not even recognized by the AI,
  • other selectors are just trivial selector duplicates, that don’t harm.

BTW, some core modules of Obsidian would need a rework/update like:

  • PDF export module
  • mobile device implementations
  • mermaid module

To change the rules of these modules, you need to override with !important quite often.

I agree, we should use !important sparingly, only lazy developers override without second thought, probably helped by AI, but in this case I doubt we can call these people really “developers”.

So,
Please make the score card preview more meaningful, less half-baked, as consumers may misinterpreted the review.
Experimental features should be developed before released in public, imo.

  1. It is not an AI review, it uses static analysis tools such as eslint and stylelint. You can even run many of the checks locally with the Obsdian eslint plugin.
  2. You can manually request a new scan for a new release with the “Check for new releases” button if you don’t want to wait for the automated process to pick it up.

Thanks for your answer.
Interesting, I can’t see these buttons because this requires me to create a new account. My credentials for this forum can’t be used to login there to correct the scorecards result.

Well, meanwhile I updated trice and the review is still stuck with an older review, for almost 2 weeks now. I certainly don’t ask reviews to update instantly, but after 3 work days, DB data should be up to date.

Most users who read reviews, don’t know anything about critical or trivial, harmless mistakes, so this scorecard could be a little bit more elaborated and a little bit more “up to date”.

Can you share a link to your plugin for me to investigate?

Thanks!
Here’s the link

Looks like you haven’t created any releases for your theme, the automated process will only rescan automatically if it finds a new release.

The only way to trigger a manual scan is to create an account on the community site, if you’re not ready to create a release yet.

Hey this is really kind!

I see, Last updated and Downloads update without user intervention. Last updated could trigger a rescan, sounds reasonable for me at least.

Since https://community.obsidian.md/ is not my responsibility, I don’t see why I should create an account to trigger updates manually. ‘That could work better’
I guess I’ve to add again releases/versions :face_exhaling:
