Make sure at least one tab in the main tab groups panel is open.
In this tab, open several notes in sequence, to fill the tab’s note history,
(Optional) In the tab’s upper-left corner, left-click the left arrow button a few times to navigate backward toward the middle of the tab’s history.
Right-click either the left or right arrow buttons for navigating forward or back.
Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]
Yes
Expected result
When right-clicking the tab’s “navigate forward” button (the right arrow in the upper-left corner), a small menu pops up, listing all notes that were opened after the current note.
Similarly, a right-click on the “navigate back” button (the left arrow) would list all notes opened before the current one.
In both cases, the current note remains opened; the tab still displays it as is until the user selects another note on one of the pop-up lists.
Actual result
When right-clicking the tab’s “navigate forward” button, the tab immediately opens the next note in its history, and the menu that pops up lists only the notes opened after that next note.
Similarly, right-clicking the “navigate back” button instantly pulls up the previous note and list just the notes before this one.
It’s as if the user left-clicked the button first before right-clicking.

What? No. This isn’t a feature request. You misunderstand, or perhaps I didn’t explain clearly. The pop-up list/menu does appear, this feature already exists, or has existed in proper form before the update to v1.8.4 now that I think about it. The problem is that it omits the direct next or previous note in the tab’s history, likely because it has navigated to that very note.
I’ll share a couple screenshots of what I’m talking about.
In them I have the Sandbox Vault loaded. I have opened these nine notes in order from top to bottom with the main tab displaying the last of them, named “Format your notes”. So including the “Start Here” note that is automatically opened, this tab’s history goes through ten notes total.
Right-clicking the left arrow should keep the tab on this same last note, and the list that I mentioned should tally the names of all nine earlier notes, starting with the note named “Footnote”.
What happens instead is that the “Footnote” note is opened and the list tallies through just eight notes, starting with “Emphasis”.
I know the prompt said to only reply on solved topics if the solution doesn’t work, but I wanted to come back here because it does.
Thank you for getting this fixed! Now I don’t have to waste any mental bandwidth to keep track of which note I had just came from.
And sorry if my last reply was a little abrasive.
