Returning files back into Obsidian

What I’m trying to do

All my files are backed-up locally, but the vault will not open. How do I reurn all folders and files back into the/a vault?

Things I have tried

Have tried Importer, bur the menu doesn’t include Markdown .md as an option.

Please note: I have over 1000 entries for this vault, and each time I’ve tried to solve this, I am anxious that I’m going to lose my data. I’m an avid user of Obsidian, but a novice tech. Any help will be much appreciated.

• What device do you use ? (Mobile ? Computer ?)
