After I click on a link to another page, I often want to return to the page from which I came.but I need to find it in the list. If there were a button to make the return, that would save a lot of time.

There is a shortcut for this
alt+cmd+leftarrow (OS X)

I suppose on windows it would be alt+ctrl+leftarrow

Yes, this already exists unless. In the command palette, the command is Navigate back, and you can set the hotkey for it in Settings.
