Request to remove relay-md plugin (now consolidated with Relay by System 3)

Hello Obsidian team,

I’m writing to request the removal of the “Relay.md” plugin (ID: relay-md) from the community plugins directory.

We’ve recently acquired this plugin from its original developer, Fabian, and have consolidated it under our “Relay by System 3” plugin (ID: system3-relay).

I can do a PR or whatever if you need to verify ownership. The relay-md repo has already been made private.

Hi Matt, I’m not on the team, but (as you may already know), you’ll want to find a way to communicate what’s happening to users, because they won’t be notified when the plugin is removed:

Plugins: Make it clear when a plugin is listed in the official directory or not (manually installed, removed for inactivity)

Use case or problem When a plugin is removed from the community repo, the user isn’t notified. Instead they’re allowed to continue unknowingly using an unmaintained plugin. For example, I only found out that Customizable Sidebar had been merged into Commander when I opened its description page to get the link for someone and the page was missing with no explanation. I had to search the web to figure out what had happened, and it was an annoying hassle. More recently, someone in Discord mentio…

Thanks @cawlinTeffiD - I don’t think there were any active users on the old relay-md, but it’ll break for them if anyone tries to come back, because the DNS won’t work for the multiplayer part. Hopefully they’ll figure it out when they go to the website and it takes them to the new page.
