+1 !!!
When I have checked an item in one of my lists, it would be pretty brilliant if I could drag that item to reorder the list. The same goes for any bullet point list items.
Edit: I found the hotkey option to move a line up and down, and this works very well for now.
Check out the Outliner plugin, it might do what you want: https://forum.obsidian.md/t/outliner-plugin-by-vslinko/106125.
Thanks, but it seems to only be working for sections and not individual lists.
Indeed, it works only within a list.
What about posting an FR (Feature Request) on GitHub?
Itās 2025 - any update on this? I moved from OneNote to Obsidian, love it, but I do miss the ability to drag check list items so I can re-prioritize things at will. I will look for a plugin, but I feel like this is an essential feature.
@dyslexicanaboko hi, did you find workaround?
The āOutlinerā plugin has support for drag-and-drop reordering of list items.
I canāt include a link to the screencast in the pluginās official readme, but itās visible in the Community Plugins / Outliner page, way down at the bottom.
Maybe on desktop but canāt reproduce on Android.
Attempting to give this a stronger +1:
This feature is literally the only thing keeping me from moving from Notion to Obsidian. Free dragānādrop organisation (on both desktop and mobile) is a hugely beneficial UI feature when working with complex documents or productivity stuff, and I fear itās being underestimated.
Has anyone tried [New Plugin] Dragger: Notion-style drag-and-drop for all blocks ?
