Render footnotes in the same PDF page in which they are referenced

What I’m trying to do is to have the footnotes render in the same PDF page in which they were referenced, like you would see it when reading a book.

Does anyone know an easy trick to go around it, instead of having them rendered by the end of the document?

I don’t know if there is. I would start by searching “footnote” in Settings > Community Plugins > Browse.

Thanks for the suggestion, CawlinTeffid! I had already browsed the plugins and couldn’t find anything of the sorts (there are plugins that stylize notes, and plugins to better export pdfs, but none with this feature planned or developed as far as I can see). Do you have any alternative idea?
