"Remove Unused Block IDs" plug-in has a deceptive name

Once you’ve done the above, delete everything above this line.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install the plug-in
  2. Run the plug-in
  3. See the list of unused block IDs
  4. Click button to delete them.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N] Not Applicable.

Expected result

That the used block IDs are still in place.

Actual result

ALL block IDs are gone: the unused AND the used ones. So, from that point of view a good part of my notes collection has been reduced to the Stone Age because I use embedding heavily so had many block IDs.

Additional information

Sorry, we don’t make that plugin. For third-party plugins, you need to open an issue in that plugin repository: Issues · isdmg/obsidian-remove-unused-block-ids · GitHub

I understand that. I just wanted to draw attention to the fact that you are allowing a devious plug-in to be presented in the Obsidian community repository.

Thank you, begin with opening opening an issue in the upstream repo. If this is a widespread issue with that plugin, we will take action.

I did already but he deleted the post for the 2nd time.
That is why I posted it here. I’ll leave it with you now.

Thank you.
