What I’m trying to do
Hello,
plugin Reminder Version: 1.1.21 By uphy gives me the functionality needed across Obsidian, Journals, Calendar and Kanban boards, however this is a text command - [x] Task 1 (@2025-09-03 21:41)
I’m hoping for a button, or even a button that just instantiates/prompts the reminder and I can then quickly type in the date or the date and time.
Things I have tried
Obsidian plugin search
Obsidian forum search
Quality Internet search engine
No AI, it makes up rubbish like conservative politicians’ broken clocks, maybe right twice in a day.
Yes, I found Reminder By uphy which has solved actually having Reminders.
However I only find a text command, which I won’t put to memory.
Searching for a button or prompt. (I tried the command palette: search reminder but no option to create a reminder)
A reminder needs to have a checkbox created, otherwise there’s no date options.
However even with a checkbox created, when I type in @, there is no calendar pop up so I can select a date and time? The Reminder plugin guide shows a gif that a calendar should pop up.
When I create a checkbox for a task, the Tasks plugin drop down window appears with options:
due date
start date
scheduled date
high priority
medium priority
low priority
highest priority
lowest priority
recurring (repeat)
created today (2025-09-09)
id
depends on id
on completion
Solved by typing the following once the Reminder plugin is installed and enabled:
Checkbox created → type (@ (open bracket + at sign).
A date and time can then be select for a reminder for the task checkbox.
