two questions:

  1. Will there be a different solution to this issue?
  2. Presuming so, can we be notified of the solution? The ‘solution’ here is not a very good workaround, imho.

If the Obsidian team does something about it, they will probably mention it in the release notes. Go to Announcements and press the bell in the upper right to be notified of new announcements.

I removed “[Bug]” from this thread’s title because it’s not a bug report, and added “Re:” to indicate it’s responding to another (closed thread).
