Community Directory: Ray Notes
Hi everyone!
I really like the simplicity of Raycast Notes, especially how quickly I can open a small window and jot something down without interrupting what I’m doing.
But since I already use Obsidian to manage my notes, I wanted that same experience without having to manage notes in two separate places.
So I built Ray Notes, a free and open-source Obsidian plugin inspired by Raycast Notes.
Features
-
Floating note windows – Quickly open notes in compact, distraction-free windows.
-
Global keyboard shortcuts – Access your notes without switching back to Obsidian.
-
Multiple note windows – Keep several notes open independently.
-
Always on Top & Minimal Mode – Keep notes accessible while working in other apps.
-
Quick search – Find notes by title or content.
-
Native Markdown editing – Use Obsidian’s editor and keep everything in your existing vault.
The main idea is simple: the convenience of Raycast Notes, with all your notes staying in Obsidian.
Try it out
Ray Notes is available in the official Obsidian Community Plugins directory.
It’s completely free and open source.
I’d love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or suggestions for improvement!
Ray Notes is an independent project inspired by Raycast Notes and is not affiliated with Raycast.
