QuickAdd Capture New Line

What I’m trying to do

New to Obsidian and to QuickAdd. I’ve created a Capture DailyNote template and assigned a global shortcut. I’ve set it to add at the top of the ‘Notes’ section. The first time works as expected. But when used a second time in a day, it enters it at the beginning of the first bullet instead of as the first bullet in the second with the previous update as the second bullet.

I’m using - **{{time}}** - {{value}}. in the Format section. What am I missing?

Things I have tried

Trying out the different options in the template settings.

I think, the line break is not automatic with quickadd, you need to put it at the end of the format section.

How do you do that? I’ve tried adding it manually but it doesn’t allow it in the format section.

Just like you do in the note, like this :

- **{{time}}** - {{value}}.

With a blank line without any caracters

Jeez! :man_facepalming:t4: I had to type spaces after that period before I hit ‘Enter’ to add a blank line. Thanks!
