Published site to show recent changes

Use case or problem

A general visitor of a published site has no way of seeing if there is a recent revision, improvement or newly added files in the site. This is especially a problem in sites with large amount of content.

Proposed solution

A way to visually discriminate newly added (or modified) files and folders since last visit. Probably a different font color would be enough. This can be an optional choice made by the publisher of the as not every site owner may wish to use this feature.

I would love something like this. I’m picturing something similar to (or literally) a rendered dataview with a simple list of notes that meet a certain parameter, like perhaps the 5 most recently modified or recently created notes.

Another complementary solution would be sort options in the navigation, allowing users to sort by recently modified or created in addition to the alphabetic and manual sort options we currently have in Publish settings.

+1 Or some kind of visual indication like red dots or anything would be helpful too
