Publish error "Something went wrong. Check console"

I just paid $ 8,- for the publishing service.
When clicking the publish Icon on the ribbon I get the error “Es ging etwas schief. Überprüfe die Entwickler-Konsole auf Details”.

The dev console shows:
app.js:1 Error: Not logged in
at new t (app.js:1:265069)
at app.js:1:265479
at app.js:1:237027
at Object.next (app.js:1:237132)
at a (app.js:1:235850)

Well, I expected the upcoming window to let me log in but instead I am stuck here.
Any help appreciated.

Set up Obsidian Publish - Obsidian Help says at the top:

Step 1: Log in with your Obsidian account

1. Open Settings.
2. In the sidebar, click About.
3. Under Account → Your Account, click Log in.
4. In Email, enter your email.
5. In Password, enter your password.
6. Click Login.

If you’ve followed the steps and things still aren’t working, you can email [email protected], and they can look into it.

I was not aware of this step, so maybe a hint when displaying the error would be helpful for others.
