What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to set up Obsidian on a new Windows 11 PC but I can’t log in there or on the website. I’m asked for 2FA but none of my authenticator applications have an Obsidian account. I’m also given the opportunity to use a recovery code but the code in the file I downloaded when I created my account doesn’t work.

I am, however, able to access my sync vault on my iPhone with no apparent issues.

Things I have tried

I’ve looked for an Obsidian MFA account in all my auth apps. I’ve tried the recovery code multiple times.

How can I give Obsidian on my new PC access to the sync vault?

Failing that, how can I start over and just sync the local files on my PC with a new vault?

If none of your authenticator apps have anything Obsidian related, I think you’ll need to mail support.
