Preview for PDF internal links

Use case or problem

Some PDFs make an intensive use of internal links to refer to an other section in the same document. Math and physics textbooks are a good example of such PDFs. Clicking on an internal links currently makes you jump to the referred section without any possibility of going back (except by scrolling or typing the page number for example).

Proposed solution

  • A (possibly easy) fix would be to enable page preview on PDFs’ internal link.

  • An other solution would be to implement a Cmd/Ctrl+Z shortcut to go back to the reading position prior to link jump.

Great suggestion.

A forward/back button within the PDF viewer might meet this need too.

Both of these are supported by PDF++.
