Pressing the copy shortcut (Ctrl+C) inside a table, and then pasting it in does not insert the table row, but pastes in the raw text, making everything messy

Steps to reproduce

Press Ctrl+C or whatever your copy shortcut is, without having selected anything, while the text cursor inside a table cell.
Then press Ctrl+V or whatever your paste shortcut is, inside a table cell.

Expected result

The result should be that the table row or cell should be inserted in the cell that the text cursor is in. This is true for word and excel.

Actual result

Instead, you se vertical lines ( | ) pasted that’s used to format tables, instead of the cell replacing the current one.

  • In tables, copying or cutting without a selection now correctly copies only the cell contents.
