Hello Obsidian lovers!
I would love to introduce you to a very new platform ‘OnceMarked’, which combines all my need for reading, collecting, commenting and writing.
But today I want to offer you folks specifically 
the OnceMarked Blog, which I think a lot of you might be interested in.
Like many here, I’m a long time and heavy Obsidian user, and I have been through a lot of vaults over the years, eventually settling on a one-vault-to-rule-them-all system, anyone same here?
When I tried to make my own blog (yes, in 2026, the age of AI, even the most rebellious teenagers would think twice), I surveyed all the good options on the market, but none quite meets my need.
For me, it needs to have the following features:
- The blog posts need to be really fast to load, nice looking, and reads well on mobile.
- The editing experience should be as simple as iOS Notes app, or Obsidian.
- I can write and publish easily, and make changes to published posts. I write like crazy and frequently spot typos and awkward mistakes after I post them.
- I like writing in markdown, so it should support that.
- Great themes, and allow me to easily customise it through CSS. I would most likely use an agent, but maybe manually tweaking small things.
- Adding images should be seamless, and compress for me so they load fast on a remote island(
they tend to be the best readers). - It needs to have a natural discovery layer, and comments. I happen to like engaging with my readers, and it needs to be frictionless to setup and use.
- Out of box RSS and SEO basics.
So as any regular, sane person would do, I built my own: OnceMarked Blog, which answers to all my needs mentioned above.
Of course, I also built other great things while I was at it:
- It has a WYSIWYG editor as well.
- Slash commands so I can do most things without touching my mouse.
But most importantly, it has a free, open-source companion plugin for Obsidian, which follows the Micropub convention and allows me to publish my Obsidian contents straight to my blog, and update the same post when I make changes. There’s a review step before publishing, so nothing gets published automatically.

A quick note: the plugin is a public beta, now available in the Community Plugins directory. Desktop publishing has been tested, but mobile isn’t fully tested yet(I need to find a android phone).
