Hey everyone — I’m the author of The Markdown Guide and I built a publishing plugin for Obsidian called JotBird.
The idea is simple: click publish and get a URL you can share with anyone. That’s it!
What it does:
-
One-click publishing from the ribbon, command palette, or right-click menu
-
Images are uploaded automatically
-
Callouts, Mermaid diagrams, and math render on the published page
-
Republishing updates the same URL
-
Published URL and expiration date are stored in your note’s frontmatter
No account is required. Install the plugin, open a note, and publish. Links last 30 days. If you create a free account, links last 90 days. Pro ($29/year) makes them permanent.
Install via BRAT:
-
Install BRAT from Community Plugins
-
Settings → BRAT → Add Beta Plugin
-
Enter
jotbirdhq/obsidian-jotbird
The plugin is open source and submitted to the community plugin directory — BRAT keeps it updated in the meantime.

Happy to answer questions. Feedback welcome — good, bad, or brutal. ![]()
There’s also been some good discussion on the r/ObsidianMD subreddit if you want to see it in action.
