Hey Obsidian Community! ![]()
I’m excited to introduce Habitify, a new community plugin designed for everyone who wants a clean, flexible, and fully local way to track daily habits and numerical metrics right inside their Obsidian vault.
Many existing solutions rely on complex Dataview queries or external databases. Habit Tracker & Metrics is built on a simple philosophy: your data belongs to you, stored in pure, plain Markdown.
Key Features
100% Note-Based & Local Data
All your data stays in standard Markdown files. No proprietary databases, no cloud lock-in, no external dependencies.
Versatile Tracker Types
Track whatever matters to you using different metric types:- Good / Bad Habits (Checkboxes)
- Numeric Values & Counters
- Custom Scales (e.g., Mood 1–10, Energy levels)
Rich Visualizations
- GitHub-style Heatmaps for habit consistency
- Interactive Line Charts for numerical trends
- Progress Bars & Streaks to stay motivated
Zero Setup Required (Dataview-Free)
Works out of the box with clean code blocks (```habits). You don’t need to learn complex query languages.
