For the record: Obsidian has to be active while making the external changes, for the plugin to work, right?
It cannot pick up on changes on startup if it wasn’t, correct?

Also, obviously, does this plugin help against breaking blockID references (as there only the basename gets changed and nothing else)?

Good question. I will update the README.

  1. Obsidian has be running during the external renames in order for Obsidian to pick those changes. If Obsidian is off, then during next load the changes will be considered as create / delete. Not much we can do here, as the plugin works only while Obsidian works.
  2. Currently blockIDs are not updated by my plugin but I am working on the update links feature right now.
