This is a plugin for Obsidian that creates a free email mailbox with one click, so you can forward emails to your vault as notes. No backend or paid service required. Inspired by Save emails into Evernote feature.
Is this plugin desktop only? It installed on Android without any warning, but shows error when I try to generate email or dowload from existing one. On desktop it works fine.
It meant to work on mobile. I’ll test it

One thing I noticed is that when I initially created an email adress on my desktop and then synced the vault to my phone via Syncthing, the email password didn’t get synced. There is probably because of the way passwords are stored in Obsidian now and the way of syncing I use. So I tried to reenter the password in the plugin settings, but it seams to be read-only. I only managed to add the password by goind to the secrets tab and adding a secret here, but it is not very intuitive. Maybe you can allow to enter the existing password manually?

Hi. Thank you for this fantastic plug-in which helps me so much to use Obsidian as a read-later-tool. Can I ask: Is it possible to specify a folder for the emails to be stored in? As far as I can see (and I am new to this), the plug-in creates a new folder and uses that exclusively. I would like forwarded mail to be included in my main notes folder. Thank you again for your time and work!

How did you do that exactly? I have the same problem. I can’t enter the password in the mobile app. You say you used ‘secrets’. How exactly? I just can’t find a way to get the password into the field.
I am having a problem here. I set up your plugin on my laptop and it works great. But I use Obsidian also on desktop and mobile. The problem is that the password that was generated for the mailbox is only set up on the laptop where I originally installed it.
I want to copy the password to both the version on my desktop and my mobile app but the field is read only. How do I enter the mailbox password in the plugin so all three versions can access the mailbox?
