This is incredible. Thank you @mnaoumov !
Heads up for users: you may want to “soft-exclude” some of your files, so start with the Obsidian “exclude include” setting off first:
The plugin makes the excluded items hard-excluded, meaning the files (complete folders) will be taken off of the Obsidian index and will be invisible for Obsidian. Which is what users of this plugin WILL want, but then they may need to reconfigure what they want soft- and hard-excluded.
I soft-excluded some images from some folders and some Templater folders before and I think it’s better to turn that setting off and add your own values in the box on the top.
Otherwise very good idea, especially for people who organize complete Windows drives within Obsidian. They may not want all stuff shown in Obsidian at all.
Note:
By “soft-exclude” I mean that I can still link to files and see them among the QuickSwitcher results, but down on the bottom. I don’t want them completely invisible.
In version 1.0.1 the Ignore Excluded Files
setting is turned off by default.
