FYI, this may be more of a Help question, but it is about plain text note taking broadly, not just within Obsidian. In essence How do you take organized notes where each item has multiple data points (e.g. date, category, location, url, etc.)? Essentially I’m asking if and how you write CSV-, JSON- or YAML-like lists, without the pain of following those very structured formats while you’re writing. Do you have a way of taking such notes? Essentially, an Excel Pivot table allows me to easily view data, even though the raw data is just text.
It’s nice to navigate the data in Excel, but it’s not nice to edit data.

a csv to yaml converter can convert between these things.

1. is there a workflow that integrates these 2 ways of looking at things?

2. what keywords are related to this?

The main problem I’m trying to solve is that I can understand excel, but yaml is less visual, so I forget it, and basically can’t get my head around how to lay things out. The limitation of Excel’s grid gives me some structure to tbink inside.
