Pin Notes In Files

Is there a way to pin notes to the top of the Files column or within a Folder?

I use sort by date modified but would like certain notes to always appear at the top. I’m sure I’ve does this in the notes apps.

That’s rather easily done using the Custom File Sorter plugin. It’s a little hassle to get the initial setup correct (for some), but after that it’s smooth sailing.

If you want to sort your Obsidian files/folders in ways the default file browser doesn’t offer, here are some options:

No plugins needed:

• Bookmarks (if you don’t need to reorder huge numbers of items) (separate from file browser, but on desktop you could drag it above the file browser for a 2-part sidebar)
• Add numbers to the beginning of filenames

Community plugins:

• Custom File Explorer Sorting
• File Tree Alternative
• Make.MD (but it’s a mega-plugin that makes a lot of other changes too)
