Open A new tab.
Tap on Create new file.
Try to rename the file ( the actual title of the file )
I cannot do this.
It says “user denied permission request”
Which is weird because when I use search function to create new file I face no such problem.
( yes I granted the file permissions which obsidian had asked me)

There is an Samsung with android 13, i’ve get this error when i uninstalled and installed again, so after this, i get the same error that this posting forum
Installed Obsidian for Android last night, and synced it with my vault.
I can create new files in a folder, but when I try and rename them from “Untitled” I get this error:
Unable to do file operation, user denied permission request
The vault was created on a windows laptop and continues to work fine there, but I’m not sure what to do to allow file renaming when obviously file creation seems to work fine within the vault from Android.
On Android 11 I need to confirm with return to rename notes, but in previous versions I hadn’t.
Usually renaming worked just fine without the return button, i liked more the previous behavior
Same problem, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra running OneUI 5.1 and Android 13
I’ve found that 1.4.7 (downloaded from the 3rd pinned message on discord in the #insider-mobile-release channel) still seems to work, just 1.4.8 that the problem is introduced.
