PDF Viewer Seems to be Broken

After an update maybe a few months ago, the PDF viewer stopped working properly for me (on Windows 10, currently running Obsidian v1.8.7). It often doesn’t load the page I’m viewing (nor the next few pages) and instead just shows a blank page. This happens with pretty much any PDF I try to view.

I think the issue has something to do with lazy loading, because it seems like it just looses track of what page I’m on sometimes, and I’m usually able to fix the issue by rapidly scrolling around the document until it figures it out (quickly going all the way to the end and back to the beginning usually does the trick). It’s becoming a real problem now though because I’ve recently had a few cases where I couldn’t get certain pages to load no matter how much I thrashed the scrollbar around.

Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this and how I can fix it?

Please report back the full information from the command Show debug info. If your installer version is not in the 1.8.x series you’ll need to do a reinstall to update it, and it’ll most likely fix your issue.

I have the same issue, both on PC and Android tablet, with 1.8… installer. It feels like CPU gets overloaded with even no so many pages-long pdf files
