PDF new window bug when closing and re launching obsidian

Very often I open a PDF in a new window in a second monitor while working in obsidian in my main monitor.
This is how it looks when working.

If I close the main obsidian window, it will also close the PDF window, which is expected. When I re-launch obsidian it automatically opens 2 windows, the main obsidian window, and the PDF window. However, the pdf window won’t show the PDF It is just a blank window with the title of the PDF it is supposed to show. This is how it looks:

I’m using windows 11. Obsidian v1.4.12 and no plugins or snippets.

Thanks.

I could not try this in a sandbox, since I am required to quit and reopen obsidian in order to see the bug. But i ran the test in a newly created vault.

Has anyone been able to reproduce this?
It keeps happening to me in v 1.4.16

I’ll double check.

Thanks

@WhiteNoise Hi. Where you able to check if this is indeed a bug?
Thanks.

yes I can reproduce.

Thanks. I hope it can get fix soon.
Nice day.

Steps to reproduce

  • Open obsidian and put a PDF on a second monitor
  • Close obsidian
  • When reopening obsidian you will have the tab with the PDFs blank
  • You can take the tab from the second monitor to the first one to reset it

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes, I did this test both on my vault without plugins enabled and in a new vault.

Expected result

I expected that once I reopened obsidian to have all my tabs with PDFs visibles

Actual result

Once opened obsidian all my tabs with PDFs on the second screen are blank.
