Pasting image from clipboard to Canvas places image unintuitively to me

Use case or problem

Pasting an image from clipboard to a canvas places the image in the center of the current viewport. I’d much prefer (and would have expected) that it be placed at the user’s current mouse cursor location (with the image’s top-left corner placed at the user’s current cursor location.

The current paste location is very unintuitive to me, and it took me a substantial amount of observation to figure out that it’s placed centered in the user’s current viewport. Perhaps this is because I use Obsidian on a large 4k monitor.

Proposed solution

I’d like an option that allows the user to configure how they’d like images to paste into Canvas. For example, they could select from:
- “centered in current viewport”
- “centered at cursor location”
- “top-left corner at cursor location”

Current workaround

I currently zoom into where I’d like the image with [Ctrl] + MouseWheel (which zooms into the cursor location) and then paste the image. This approximately positions it how I’d like it, but I have to go through the trouble of zooming-in and then back out.
