Pages are 'unlinked' in graph view after moving folders

Steps to reproduce

  • In a note, link to a [[new note]]
  • click the [[new note]] to create it

(so far so good, the new note is connected to the note in which you created it)

  • Move the new note to a folder

Expected result

The new note is still linked to the original note in the graph view

Actual result

It’s not. It’s just a sad, lonely and unlinked note.

Environment

  • Operating system: Windows 10
  • Obsidian version: 0.8.14

Additional information

After some more testing, I noticed the link is broken either way, also if you first create it and link to it afterwards. Update internal links is turned on, that didn’t solve it unfortunately. ‘Linked mentions’ doesn’t seem to be affected, it’s just the graph view. Also, restarting Obsidian solves the problem, so it’s not a huge deal.

I think that just closing and reopening the graphs solves the problem

Unfortunately it doesn’t. But like I said, it’s not a huge deal if restarting the app solves it.

are we talking about the local graph or the global graph?

do you use wikilink or do you use makrdown links?

which kind of wikilinks do you use shortestpath, relative path?

Can you post a gif video?

Hello my fellows.

When I moved a note C from folder A to folder B, the connections between note C and other notes , of cause there had been placed in folder A, disappeared in graph view.

How do you move your notes from a folder to another with stable connections? Or is it a bug?

does it get fixed when you close and reopen the graph?
does it get fixed when you close and reopen obsidian?

will be fixed in 0.9
