Use case or problem
Without plugins, the only way to edit an embed within a Page Preview popup is to first reveal the ![[link]] by clicking or arrowing cursor onto the embed first, then ctrl/cmd hovering over the revealed link.
Proposed solution
Allow Page Preview to appear when ctrl/cmd hovering over link icon within an embed.
