$\overrightarrow{\rm AB}$ renders badly

$\overrightarrow{\rm AB}$ looks bad!

You bet I did!

Expected result

I expected to see a well rendered arrow stem, just as \overline renders.

Actual result

A poorly rendered arrow stem, looking as if two different stems were concatenated. No change in rendering between reading and preview modes.

I believe that this is an issue that only happens on Windows. Zooming in or out can help or a different font size. You could try if you have the same results here:
