Outlining notes using escape character in Obsidian

Hi,
I’m taking notes in outline format. But not the usual way 1. 2. 3. or bullet point, but a combination of this. It is more understandable for me. (See screenshot!)

The Markdown’s problem is that cannot handle very good nested lists. However I managed to achieve this using escape character. The problem is that is visible in Preview Mode.

It would be nice that Obsidian can make the difference in Preview mode between a simple backslash & a backslash as an escape character.

Until then, maybe there is a way to hide it in CSS?

I also alternate use of numbered lists sometimes.

Another option for you, though it might be tedious, is to use (1) parentheses or b. letters.
