Use case or problem
When I create links to unlinked mentions in Obsidian, the newly created links are of the format [[unlinked mention]] if the unlinked mention is an exact match to the file name being linked to.
This presents a problem for me when I change the file name later on and I want to keep the previously displayed text for that link, since Obsidian automatically changes the text to match my new file name.
The solution can be to have an option under “Files & Links” where a user can set that all newly linked unlinked mentions be of the format [[file name|unlinked mention]] even if the unlinked mention is an exact match to the file name.
This way, even if a user changes the file name later, the link will still display the same text as before.
