Opening .mp4 link in pinned tab doesn't open in existing visible tab

Steps to reproduce

  1. In v1.3.4 make three links in a pinned tab that link to (a) a .jpg file (b) an .mkv file and (c) an .mp4 file
  2. Make a new tab group and open a visible tab (unpinned)
  3. Click each of the links in (1) above, in order.

Expected result

  1. Clicking the .jpg file will open it in the visible tab of the second tab group.
  2. Clicking the .mkv file will replace the .jpg file in the second tab group.
  3. Clicking the .mp4 file will replace the .mkv file in the second tab group.

Actual result

  1. and 2. happens as expected, but
  2. Clicking the .mp4 file opens it in a NEW Tab group.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Custom theme and snippets: for cosmetic issues, please first try updating your theme and disabling your snippets. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community theme and snippets.
Community plugins: for bugs, please first try updating all your plugins to latest. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community plugins.

Additional information

You didn’t follow the proposed steps here… You have 20 community plugins enabled, among them also some media-related plugins - it is at least possible that it’s some plugin settings that is causing this behaviour. Does it work in the sandbox vault?

You’re right. My bad.

It worked after disabling plugins.

It turned out to be the Media Extended plugin.
