What I’m trying to do
According to obsidian help , in order to create a new note in a specific folder, I need to navigate to that folder.
To create a new note in a specific folder:
Right-click the folder and then click New note .
Type the name of the note, and then press Enter.
Can I open a specific folder without manually navigating to it in the file explorer menu?
Things I have tried
I know that I can search within specific folders in the search menu, but it only allows to open files, not folders

I don’t think you can do that. You can create notes, and then move and get a folder dialog. But you do need to go to the folder in the file explorer to create the note there directly.

When creating a file in the Quick Switcher you can type a folder path in front of the name (without autocompletion, unfortunately).

Sadly with no autocomplete, so give this feature request a little love:
I was just about to create this again, as a tool to open a note in a folder of my choice.
I think the logic can wastly simplified though, and still be very useful. I imagine doing a search, and when hitting the Tab key it autocompletes either to the full folder (or the full path) of the entry which is highlighted. This would allow for us to do fuzzy searches for the folder, and get the completion right away.
So please implement this soon!
