Opening a folder by search

What I’m trying to do

According to obsidian help, in order to create a new note in a specific folder, I need to navigate to that folder.

To create a new note in a specific folder:

  1. Right-click the folder and then click New note.
  2. Type the name of the note, and then press Enter.

Can I open a specific folder without manually navigating to it in the file explorer menu?

I know that I can search within specific folders in the search menu, but it only allows to open files, not folders

I don’t think you can do that. You can create notes, and then move and get a folder dialog. But you do need to go to the folder in the file explorer to create the note there directly.

When creating a file in the Quick Switcher you can type a folder path in front of the name (without autocompletion, unfortunately).
