Obsidian 1.14.2 can now open .md files outside the vault in the current Obsidian window.
However, clicking an external link such as:
[Reference Card](<file:///N:/Users/Ahmed/Downloads/Quick_Reference_Card.md>)
still sends the file to the OS/default app.
It would be useful if external .md links clicked inside Obsidian could open directly in the current Obsidian window, using the same behavior as Open file from outside the vault…
Currently, the workaround is making Obsidian the system default for .md, which shouldn’t be necessary.
