For those that are following @kepano & crew’s new JSON Canvas format introduced a few weeks ago, there is a new “Open Canvas Working Group” that intends to extend upon the standard. They had their 1st meeting and have published a recap, which can be read here:

- JSON Canvas Discussion: The group discussed the JSONCanvas format, initially developed for Obsidian. While recognized as a good starting point, there was consensus on the need for its evolution to accommodate a broader range of use cases and increased extensibility. The discussion centered around whether JSONCanvas could be evolved without breaking backwards compatibility with a loose consensus emerging that a more extensible spec would require breaking changes to JSONCanvas 1.0
