Use case or problem
When ⌘⇧-clicking a link, the note opens to the right if the current note is not split horizontally, and below if it is.
Proposed solution
Add commands to open to right and open below. I.e.
Open to right
- Split the current note vertically, then open the link in the newly created space to the right.
Open below
- Split the current note horizontally, then open the link in the newly created space below.
Perhaps add Open above and Open to left for people with other preferences, RTL text, etc.
The “below” option might be a ⌘⇧ middle-button click, where a ⌘⇧ left button is the current behavior.
