Open a new tab in a new tab group?

Hi

In the official document at Use tabs in Obsidian - Obsidian Help there is:

To open a tab in a new tab group, use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Windows and Linux: Ctrl+Shift+t
  • macOS: Cmd+Shift+t

However, that line exactly conflicts with the following line on the same page:

To open and switch to a recently closed tab, press Ctrl+Shift+t (or Cmd+Shift+t on macOS).

They both use the same key combination. Moreover, “open a new tab in a new tab group” seems to be ignored on Windows.

How do I open a new tab in a new tab group with a hotkey?

A typo? Maybe one of the devs can have a look.

  • With a freshly opened Sandbox and only one tab open, Ctrl + Shift + t does nothing for me.
  • If a different note is opened in a new tab and closed, Ctrl + Shift + t brings the closed tab back as expected. Ctrl + Shift + t is the default hotkey for the “Undo close tab” command.

These are the ways I can think of for opening a note in new tab group (there may be more):

  • With your cursor on a link: Ctrl + Alt + Enter
  • When clicking (mouse/trackpad) in the Files list or on an internal link: Ctrl + Alt + Click
  • Ctrl + O → choose an existing note or type name of new note → Ctrl + Alt + Enter
  • (not a hotkey) Context menu on file → “Open to the right” / Context menu on tab title or tab title bar three dots → “Split Right”

Environment
Windows 11; Obsidian 1.1.9 (1.1.9); newly opened Sandbox

Edit: The documentation page will be fixed.
