I have noticed that if I use the command Copy Path as Obsidina URL, the link use the Obsidian file name as pointer. However, even if I change the file location or the file name itself and its content, the link will still work!
It seems very robust.
Does anybody know why? How can Obsidian manage it?
it it is so good I would rather use it vs Advanced URI Plugin, which use IDs instead.
hey @arguros it might not fit what you are trying to achieve but for the reasons mentioned by WhiteNoise, if I really need to have a way to identify/open files long term, I like giving them a unique id in the properties. depending on what you are trying to achieve I can give you more tips in case that might work for you
I have built an habit tracker in Excel. I have several practices logged. I just want to be able to link any practice to an Obsidian Note to store more information like practice files audios, video and notes.
But it needs to be reliable. I don’t want to loose the linking easily
