Obsidian won't open on Windows 11 after GPU driver update

What I’m trying to do

I updated my GPU driver on August 12 from NVIDIA 580.88 to 580.97 and ever since then Obsidian has stopped launching.

I tried running it from console and get this error code:
[8936:0819/163420.998:ERROR:content\browser\gpu\gpu_process_host.cc:957] GPU process exited unexpectedly: exit_code=-2147483645

[8936:0819/163420.998:FATAL:content\browser\gpu\gpu_data_manager_impl_private.cc:415] GPU process isn’t usable. Goodbye.

Things I have tried

I don’t use any cloud services like OneDrive, Obsidian Sync, etc., instead I use a direct port called Syncthing. This means all my files are on my local drive, so there shouldn’t be any conflicts there.
I’ve tried opening my vault on Mac and Android, and everything there works perfectly fine.

  • I’ve tried rolling back my driver to the previous version,

  • installing the newest one (581.08), (tested on 3 different drivers total)

  • deinstalling Obsidian and reinstalling it,

  • deleting its cache,

  • renaming the .obsidian folder in my vault to make sure that the vault itself/any plugins aren’t causing any additional problems

  • created a new user on my PC and installed Obsidian there

  • tried launching Obsidian with the disable gpu command

  • tried the compatibility function on Windows

  • tried launching it in safe mode

Nothing works, I’m all out of ideas, and I can’t find a solution online. Please help!

(I’m on the newest version of Obsidian as of today (yayy bases), but the problem persists and was there on the version before as well. I’m back on my old GPU driver, where Obsidian used to open just fine, but even there it doesn’t open anymore.)
