Last night, I decided to update my M3 Max to the new Tahoe 26.1. Obsidian loads just fine, but after a few minutes, the box goes gray. I have disabled all plugins (only a few incorporated) but the issue persists… Are there any known conflicts with the installer, app or core plugins we don’t know about?

There was an Electron update shipped with 1.9.14 meant to fix an upstream Electron bug (generally) affecting MacOS Tahoe users

Edit: If you’re using other Electron based apps (Discord, VS Code, etc…) and they didn’t update Electron yet, they could potentially also have some impact on Obsidian (I think 
)
It was an older installer and the issue showed its ugly head. So, I updated the installer hoping that would fix, but its still there.

Maybe providing more context could be helpful:
(You could still be able to access the Debug info from the Help menu in the menu bar)
- Where is your vault stored ?
- Do you sync across devices ? (if yes, how ?)

I may have to rollback, I always hold off on updates, but I never saw anything about issues with Obsidian or other tools I use regularly so I decided to go forward.
I recently purchased an Obsidian Sync plan, but that was a couple months ago. For years, I was simply syncing through iCloud. Of course I have my vault stored locally, so I’m not worried about losing data and I have multiple backups.

I’ve been going back ad forth over this for at least an hour prior to posting… the one issue that sets off alarms is that the vault never finishes indexing. After a couple of minutes comes the gray bandit. I can’t help but think there is some sort of connection (pun not intended).
It’s Obsidian Sync.
