What I’m trying to do
When I open my Vault in obsidian on pc, my screen goes black, then loads after a moment. When I do anything (opening a note, opening the settings) the screen also blinks, but eventually the screen returns. I can type in notes without it blinking.
Things I have tried
I have opened the sandbox vault, everything there works. So it’s something with my vault.
I have chucked the entirety of .obsidian, suspecting it was a plugin, but even with zero plugins I still get the blinking, so it’s got to be something else.
I sync my vault to my phone and my tablet via google drive. I’ve never had issues with this before and interestingly, the vault works just fine on my tablet and phone. The Vault on google drive is set so that all relevant files are available offline, aka saved locally on my pc.
Don’t know if this has any actual relevance but the first time the blinking happened, I tried to have a note and a larger pdf file open in split view with the pdf++ plugin. But I have since tried deleting the big pdf and have uninstalled the pdf++ plugin, and the blinking is still happening.
My Obsidian is up to date, I also tried reinstalling it just in case. My PC has Windows 10 Home, also up to date.
I’m really at the end of my rope here, I have no clue what could be causing the blinking. Appreciate any and all ideas on how to get my vault to stop winking at me, it’s a work thing only for me.
