I’m facing a significant issue with my Obsidian vault and would appreciate some guidance or advice on possible recovery methods.
Description: I had an Obsidian vault stored in the directory Documents/Obsidian Vault (base name). After a computer restart, I discovered that upon opening Obsidian, my existing vault files seemed to have been overwritten or replaced by new files.
Out of curiosity, are you using a sync service that watches the Documents folder? I know both OneDrive and iCloud have that option.
In Obsidian, you can try looking in Settings > File Recovery > Snapshots → view, then type the names of files to check if there are older versions in there.
